Ficus Photos

This area is devoted to pictures of Ficus bonsai from around the world.

Australian bonsai friend Hoy Leong Kwong has just written a book about Ficus called "Ficus Bonsai In The Temperate Climate". It relates his many experiences growing Ficus in the temperate climate of Sydney, Australia. Leong has gratefully allowed us to post pictures of some of his wonderful Ficus trees.

Leong observes that Ficus obliqua, eugeniodes, microcarpa 'Hilli', and platypoda are among the most useful Australian species. Of the non-native Ficus species he likes F. microcarpa 'Formosana', microcarpa 'Kimman' (Tigerbark), salicaria(nerifolia), natalensis and crassifolia.

You must add this book to your bonsai library. For information on how to order his Ficus book please check at http://www.bonsaisouth.com.au/cms/content/view/34/50/
